  2. 0-16 to sweet 16! The Longhorns won’t have so far to travel to see the next round of games.

I can’t help but notice that some of the signs are in English. It seems odd that an old French colonial state would have signs in English. Is English very prevalent there?

  3. English is the best bet for most Europeans, Denmark/Sweden, Australia etc. Thailand and Laos also really are pushing English in the schools. Often the kids speak some good but basic english and the parents use them to translate.

Lao knows it is on the upswing as a tourist destination and is trying to make things more friendly for tourists.
