Adventures in Asia

by Greg & Francie

Many new photos

I just got back all the BW film that I have shot so far on the trip plus a few new color rolls.  I’m slowly getting them up on flickr so check them out.  They’re mostly from Laos and Myanmar.

Here are a few favorites:

  1. I was thinking how much I like that you take pictures of people, in addition to those of places (and puppies :))… Makes me more aware of how many of us are on this planet, and how different. I think you are a great photographer and I like going back to each installment of my online course on Asia. When you come back, maybe I can pass a test and get a certificate 🙂 Now seriously, I love learning about Asia with you two. Thanks!

  2. My god Francie — you are a gifted photographer! My dad would be so impressed with your composition. The resting dog on the table is perfectly balanced — the horizontal white intensity of the wall against the darkly shaded vertical barred window. And the dog, he/she is so pleasantly at ease. The human (and animal faces!) are striking — we love how you’ve captured Greg’s thoughtfulness. Can you bring back that sweet, sweet cow?

  3. Francie, your use of b/w film is inspiring to an old dinosaur newspaperman who happens to be your dad (and proud to be a newly minted father-in-law. Much love to you both.
